HomeMy WebLinkAboutNo 106 Amending Ordinance No. 81 Entitled "An Ordinance Relating to and Establishing Conditions of Employment for Employees of the Village of MaplewoodORDINANCE NO. 106 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 81 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO AND ESTABLISHING CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MAPLEWOOD". THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAPLEWOOD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 5 of Ordinance No. 81 is.hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 5. All permanent full time employees and temporary full time employees with 30 calendar days service, shall be compensated for a full 8 -hour day if employed at the time of any of the following holidays: Christmas, New Years, Lincoln's Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Good Friday and Thanksgiving Day. If Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day or the 4th of July fall on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be given off in lieu of the Holiday, or, if said specific holidays fall on a Sunday, the following Monday will be given off in lieu of the holiday. Any hourly employee who works on the actual holiday or the day given off in lieu of the actual holiday, will be paid double time, according to the foregoing provisions relating to compensation." Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its date of passage and publication. Passed by the Village Council of the Village of Maplewood this 9th day of June, 1960.
