Wasiluk, Councilmember Present APPROVAL OF AGENDA Councilmember Juenemann moved to approve the agenda as submitted. Seconded by Councilmember Wasiluk Ayes-All NEW BUSINESS 1. Report from Cable Commission-Kim Facile Kim Facile, from the Cable Commission, presented the Cable Commission Report. Timothy Finnerty, Executive Director Ramsey/Washington Cable Commission, was present to answer council questions. 2. Affordable Housing Presentation Assistant City Manager Coleman provided a short history on the continued focus on affordable housing, the restrictions cities are faced with, and what is actually considered "affordable housing". Ms. Coleman spoke to the Legacy Village, Gladstone and Hillcrest Projects and how they factor into the affordable housing plan. A document from the Urban Land Institute was distributed that all were encouraged to read which focused on how multiple family housing is needed today more than ever. In summary, Assistant City Manager Coleman felt the City of Maplewood is ahead of the curve in addressing life-cycle housing, and the type of housing where the city is falling short, the Legacy Village Project will fill that need. Pastor Gary Olson, Lakeview Lutheran Church, asked for clarification on the for-sale units pricing and the number of units available. Ms. Coleman noted there would be 198 units available (all townhomes at this point) and the price range will be $150,000.00-170,000.00. Council/Manager Workshop 06-09-03 E. FUTURE TOPICS 1.
