A meeting held in the Maplewood Room, Municipal Building, was brought to order at 7:00 p.m..
Among those attending were the Mayor, Councilmembers, City Staff, City Attorney Patrick
Kelly and Michael McCarthy, Assistant Director, Elections Division and Candidates of the
September 14, 1999 primary election.
After explanation of the current status of the election by Attorney Kelly, Mr. McCarthy
reiterated that the election maybe declared valid by the courts and the necessity of another
primary remains in question. After discussion with the candidates that were present, a
contingency date of October 5, 1999 was selected. In the event another election is ordered by
the court, this date will be suggested to the judge.
