Consideration of City Manager Appointment Action Requested: Motion Discussion Public Hearing Form of Action: Resolution Ordinance Contract/Agreement Proclamation Policy Issue: The Maplewood City Council is responsible for appointing the City Manager. Recommended Action: a. Interview Mike Sable b. Motion to appoint Mike Sable as City Manager, subject to background investigation and approval of employment contract. Former Maplewood Assistant City Manager Mike Sable has applied for the City Manager position. Prior to the interview with the City Council, Mr. Sable will be interviewed by two panels. The first panel will consist of the senior management team. The second panel will include some members of our Multicultural Advisory Committee and Board and Commission members as well as city staff. The City Council will review the findings of fact from both of these meetings prior to their interview with Mr. Sable.
