Home My WebLink AboutNo 118 Amending Ordinance No. 95 Entitled "An Ordinance Regulating the Sale of Intoxicating Liquor within the Village of Maplewood, Providing for Such Sales by Duly Licensed Persons, Establishing Regulations...a ORDINANCE NO. 118 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 959 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF MAPLEWOOD, PROVIDING FOR SUCH SALES BY DULY LICENSED PERSONS, ESTABLISHING REGULA- TIONS FOR THE OPERATION OF PLACES WHERE SUCH INTOXICA- TING LIQUOR IS SOLD, PROVIDING REGULATIONS FOR THE GRANTING OF SUCH LICENSES, SETTING LICENSE FEES, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND REPEALING ALL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES." THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAPLEWOOD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN: Section 1. Section 19 of Ordinance No. 95 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 19. No "on sale" licensee shall permit any person to consume any liquor on his premises except within the hours when the sale of such liquor is permitted; provided, however, that in the case where such "on sale" license is operated in a bona fide club organized under Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 317, 1_..� which has been in continuous operation for a period of five years prior to the enactment of this ordinance, liquor may be consumed in the club during hours when sale of intoxicating liquor is not permitted on condition the club is open only to its members, ceases operations no later than one o'clock on any night, limits its sales during such time to non -intoxicating beverages, and admits law enforcement officers whenever it is in operation. Sec. 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication. Passed by the Village Council of the Village of Maplewood this day of October, 1960.
