Chapter 703 of the Maplewood Code is hereby amended by adding Section 703.031 which shall read as follows: 703.031 DISCRIMINATION: a) It is unlawful for any licensee hereunder to discriminate against any person, or group of persons, because of race or color of such person or group of persons in its membership conditions or requirements. b) It is unlawful to use any form of application for membership or make any record or inquiry in connection with application for membership concerning race or color. Section 2. Section 703.080 is hereby amended by adding the following: d) A copy of the by-laws of the corporation and/or private club shall be attached and no license will be issued to the applicant if such by-laws express directly or indirectly any limitation or discrimination as to race or color.
