HomeMy WebLinkAboutNo 273 Amending Section 1202 of the Maplewood Code Relating to Disorderly ConductORDINANCE NO, 273 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1202 OF THE MAPLEWOOD CODE RELATING TO DISORDERLY CONDUCT THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAPLEWOOD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 1202.040 is hereby amended to read as follows: "1202.040. TRESPASSING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY. Any person who shall trespass upon private property for the purpose of prowling, window peeping or unauthorized invasion of the rights of the owner of such property shall be guilty of a misdemeanor." Section 2. Section 1202 is amended by adding the fol- lowing two sections: 0#1202.051. DISTURBING THE PUBLIC. Any person or per- sons who shall, within the limits of the Village o.t Maplewood, keep a house or plaice where any unlicensed sale of intoxicating liquor, reveling, rioting, or disturbance, and all persons, male or female, who resort to or visit such house or place for the purpose of purchasing or consuming any intoxicating beverages sold on the premises, or any reveling, rioting, or disturbance, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor." "1202.052. DISORDERLY CONDUCT. Any person or persons within the Village of Maplewood who commit or'Iu€fer to be committed, in any house or other building or premises by him, or her, or them occupied, any rioting, quarreling, fighting, revel- ing, drunkeness or any other disorderly conduct which disturbs the neighborhood or other person or other persons shall be guilty of a misdemeanor." Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after passage and publication. (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near the municipality which it purports to serve, has at least 500 copies regularly delivered to paying subscribers, has an average of at least 75 percent of its total circulation currently paid or no more than three months in arrears and has entry as second-class matter in its local post -office. '(6) said newspaper purports to serve the Village of North St. Paul in the County of (Ramsey and it has its known office of issue in the Village of North St. Paul in said county, established and open during its regular businesr• hours for .the gathering of news, sale of advertisements and sale of subscriptions and main- tained by the publisher of said newspaper or persons in his employ and subject to his direction and control during all such regular business hours at which said newspaper is printed. (6) Said news- paper files a copy of each issue immediately with the State Historical Society. (7) Said newspaper has complied with all the foregoing conditions for at least two years preceding the day or dates of publi- cation mentioned below. (8) Said newspaper has filed with the Secretary of State of Minnesota prior to January 1, 1966, and each January 1 thereafter an affidavit in the form prescribed by the Secretary of State and signed by the publisher and sworn to before a notary public stating that the newspaper is a legal newspaper.
