AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF
MAPLE1700D RELATING TO DRUGS, NAR-
COTICS, POISONS AND CHEMICALS
THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAPLEVOOD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The title of Chapter 12.14.061 is as .follows:
Drugs, Narcotics, Poison and Chemicals.
Section 120.061 is added to read as follows:
Section 121'.061. POSSESSION OF INJECTION IMPLEMENTS. No
person or pe sons except dealers or salesmen in surgical instru-
ments, registered pharmacies, licensed ;pharmacists, Licensed
doctors of medicine, doctors of osteopathy duly licensed to
practice medicine, licensed doctors of dentistry, licensed
doctors of veterinary medicine, or nurses or interns in any
licensed hospital or other licensed institutions whr_rein sic'
and injured persons are cared for or treated, or bona fide
hospitals wherein animals are treated, when under the direction
and suvervision of a licensed doctor gas defincd above, shall.
Pt any time have or possess any hypodermic syringe or needle
or any instrument or implement adapted for the use of cocaine
or narcotic drugs by subcutaneous injections, and which is
possessed for that purpose, unless such possession be authorized
by the certificate of a physician issued within the period of
one year prior to any time of such possession. No person shall_
use, possess or have under his control for use any stem, bowl,
lamp, yen hock or other opium smoking paraphernalia or acces-
sories used for the smoking or inhalation of opium.
Section 2. Section 1214.062. is added to read as follows:
Section 121 .062.. "MENACE TO PUBLIC ? ELFARE". Any possession,
sale distribution, prescribing, administration, dispensation or
use of drugs, narcotics, poison or chemicals, or of any hypodermic
syringe or needle, or any instrument or implement adopted for
the use sof narcotic drugs or any steal, bowl, lamp, yen hock or
other narcotic smo"ing naraphernal..i.a or •ccessories used for the
smoking or inhalation of narcotics contrary to the provisions of this
Chapter, is hereby delcared to be dangerous to the public health and
a menace to the public welfare.
Section 3. Section 121'.070 is added to read as follows:
Section 121'.070. State Pharmacy Law of 1937, Prohibited
Drug Act and Uniform Narcotic Drug Adopted. The provisions of
Minnesota Statutes annotated, Chapters 151, 152 and 61?, each
s amended by subsequent laws of the State of Minnesota, are
adopted as part oF a Drug, Narcotics, Poisons and Chemicals
ordinance regulating the transfer of possession, possession
and use of drugs, narcotics, ;poisons and chemicals within the
SJ14ge and are hereby incorporated in and made a part of this
chanter as completely as if set out hnre in full.

Section ,. Section 121/.090 is added to read as follows:
Section 1211:.080. Violation of this Chapter. Any person
violating any provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor.
Section S. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after passage and publication.
