AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING ST. PAUL CITY
ORDINANCE NO. 14186, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ST. PAUL
CITY ORDINANCE NO. 11061.
THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAPLEWOOD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. That Ordinance No. 14186 of the City of Saint Paul, amending
Ordinance No. 11061, is hereby approved and the terms and provisions thereof are
hereby accepted by the Council of the Village of Maplewood for and on behalf of
the said Village of Maplewood.
Section 2. That a copy of this ordinance, after publication, shall be
forwarded to the Clerk of the City of Saint Paul.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force upon its
passage and publication.

Maplewood this 26th day of June, 1969.

wood does hereby ordain as foilows :
Section 1, That Ordinance No. 14186
of the City of Saint Paul, amending Or-
dinance No. 11061, is hereby approved
and the terms and provisions thereof
axe hereby accepted by the Council of
the Village of Maplewood for and on
behalf of the said Village of Maplewood.
Section 2.. That a copy of this ordi-

warded to the Clerk of the City of Saint
Paul.

and has full knowledge of the facts herein stated as follows: (1) Said newspaper is printed in the
English language ,in newspaper format and in column and sheet form equivalent in .printed space to at
least 900 square inches. (2) Said newspaper is a weekly and is distributed at least once each week.
(3) Said newspaper has 60 percent of its news columns devoted to news of local interest to the com-
munity which it purports to serve and does not wholly duplicate any other (publication and is not made
up entirely of patents, plate matter and advertisements. (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near
the municipality which it purports to serve, has at least 600 copies regularly delivered to paying
subscribers, has an average of at least 76 percent of its total circulation currently paid or no more than
three months in arrears and has entry as second-class matter in its local post -office. '(6) said newspaper
purports to serve the Village of North St. Paul in the County of Ramsey and it has its known office
of issue in the Village of North 'St. Paul in said county, established and open during its regular
busineae hours for ,the gathering of news, sale of advertisements and sale of subscriptions and main-
tained by the publisher of said newspaper or persons in his employ and subject to his direction and
control during all such regular business hours at which said newspaper is printed. (6) Said news-
paper files a copy of each issue immediately with the State Historical Society. (7) Said newspaper has
complied with all the foregoing conditions for at least two years preceding the day or dates of publi-
cation mentioned below. (S) Said newspaper has filed with the Secretary of State of Minnesota prior
to January 1, 1966,.and each January 1 thereafter an affidavit in the form prescribed by the Secretary
of State and signed by the publisher and sworn to before a notary public stating that the newspaper is

The attention of the Village Clerk of the Village of Maplewood
is respectfully called to the following resolution, or ordinance which has been adopted by the
City Council and approved by the Mayor.

Anordinance amending Ordinance
No. 11061 entitled: "An ordinance
i granting permission and authority to
the Village of MapZr-wood to connect
the public sewer systeip of said Village
of Maplewood to the public sewer sys-
tem of the City of Saint. Paul and there-
after maintain and operate the same as
anoutlet for said public sewer system
of said Village for public sewage con-
veyance and disposal purposes, and
providing applicable terms and condi-
tions", approved July 26, 1957, as,
amended. This is an emergency ordi-
nance rendered necessary for the pre-
servation of the public peace, health
and safety.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul
Does Ordain:
SECTION 1 j
That Ordinance No. 11061, approved)
July 26, 1957, as amended, be and the
same hereby is further amended by
adding to the first paragraph of Section
3 of said ordinance, after the legal de-
scription of certain property to which
sewer connection has heretofore been
granted, the following:
"And except that said Village of
Maplewood may permit the tempo-
rary installation, maintenance and
operation of a sewer service con-
nection between its said public
sewer system and the following de-
scribed real property lying beyond
its corporate limits and situate in
the City of Saint Paul, County of
Ramsey, State of Minnesota, to -
wit:
The East ?z of Lots 1, 2 and 3,
Block 2, Clarkes 2nd Addition to
the City of St. Paul, Ramsey Co.,
Minn., according to the plat thereof
on file and of record in the office
of the Register of Deeds in and for
Ramsey County, Minnesota, also
known as 380 East Larpenteur Ave-
nue, Saint Paul, Minnesota,
upon the express condition, appli-
cable to such temporary sewer con-
nection, that the same shall be dis-
continued and removed upon the
construction by or for the City of
Saint Paul of a public sanitary
sewer abutting the subject parcel of
real estate, and that thereupon the
then owner of the subject parcel of
real estate shall cause the same to
be connected by proper sanitary
sewer connection with such public
sanitary sewer hereafter construct-
ed by or for the City of Saint Paul,
abutting the same".
SECTION 2
That this amendatory ordinance shall
be deemed dependent for its operative'.
effect upon the acceptance of the same'
and the concurrence therein by said
Village of Maplewood, evidenced by an
ordinance passed by its Village Council
or governing body, and the filing of a
certified copy of the same with the
City Clerk not later than 60 days next
after the official publication of this
amendatory ordinance.
SECTION 3
This ordinance is hereby declared to
be an emergency ordinance rendered
necessary for the preservation of the
public peace, health and safety.

SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and
be in force upon its passage, approval
and publication.
