NANCE NO. 139'17, AN O DINANCE
AMENDING ST. PAUL CITY ORDI-
NANCE NO. 11061.
THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
MAPLEWOOD DOES HEREBY OR-
DAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section. 1. That Ordinance No. 13917
of the City of Saint Paul, amending Or-
dinance No. 11061, is hereby approved
and the terms and provisions thereof j
are hereby accepted by the Council of
the Village of Maplewood for and on
behalf of the said Village of Maplewood.
Section 2. That a copy of this ordi-
nance, after publication, shall be for-
warded to the Clerk of the City of Saint.
Paul.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force upon its passage
and publication.

least 900 square inches. (2) Said newspaper is a weekly and is distributed at least once each week.
(3) Said newspaper has 60 percent of its news columns devoted to news of local interest to the com-
munity which it purports to serve and does not wholly duplicate any other publication and is not made
up entirely of patents, plate matter and advertisements. (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near
the municipality which it purports to serve, has at least 500 copies regularly delivered to paying
subscribers, has an average of at least 75 percent of its total circulation currently paid or no more than
three months in arrears and has entry as second-class matter in its local post -office. (6) said newspaper
purports to serve the Village of North 'St. Paul in the County of Ramsey and it has its known office
of issue in the Village of North St. Paul in said county, established and open during its regular
businese• hours for the gathering of news, sale of advertisements and sale of subscriptions and main-
tained by the publisher of said newspaper or persons in his employ and subject to his direction and
control during all such regular business hours at which said newspaper is printed. (6) Said news-
paper files a copy of each issue immediately with the State Historical Society. (7) Said newspaper has
complied with all the foregoing conditions for at least two years preceding the day or dates of publi-
cation mentioned below. (8) Said newspaper has filed with the Secretary of State of Minnesota prior
to January 1,:1966, and each January 1 thereafter an affidavit in the form prescribed by the Secretary
of State and signed by the publisher and sworn to before a notary public stating that the newspaper is
a legal newspaper.

The attention of the Village Clerk of the Village of Maplewood
is respectfully called, to the following resolution, or ordinance which has been adopted by the
City Council and approved by the Mayor.

An ordinance granting permission to
Leonard M. Kline to connect his home-
stead at 1741 E. Larpenteur Avenue,
Village of Maplewood, the same being
all that tract or parcel of land de-
scribed more particularly as follows:
the westerly 55 feet of Lot 26, Block 1,
Garden Acres, Ramsey County, Min-
nesota, according to the plat thereof
on file and of record in the office
of the Register of Deeds in and for'.
Ramsey County, Minnesota, to the
sewer system of the City of Saint
Paul, for the disposal of sanitary
sewage, and regulating the conditions
thereof. This -is an emergency ordi-
nance rendered necessary for the pres-
ervation of the publics peace, health
and safety.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul
Does Ordain:
SECTION 1
That permission is hereby given to
Leonard M. Kline to connect his home-
stead at 1741 E. Larpenteur Avenue,
Village of Maplewood, the same being
all that tract or parcel of land de-
scribed more particularly as follows:
the westerly 55 feet of Lot 26, Block
1, Garden Acres, Ramsey County,
Minnesota, accor$ing to the plat there-
of on file and of record in the office
of the Register of Deeds in and for
Ramsey County, Minnesota, to the
sewer system of the City of Saint
Paul, for the disposal of sanitary
sewage, upon the following conditions:
1. That said permittee or his suc-
cessor in interest in respect of the
real estate shall pay to the City of
Saint Paul the sum of $6.00 per
frontage foot of said real estate, for
an aggregate frontage of 55.0 feet,
said sum to be in lieu of special
assessments and taxes on account of
the sewer service, and upon pay-
ment of said sum, said permittee or
his successor in interest in respect
of said real estate shall be granted
a permit to construct, maintain and
operate a sewer connection connect-
ing said premises with the public
sewer, representing an extension of
the public sewer system of the City
of Saint Paul in Larpenteur Avenue
along the line of the same, for the
drainage of sanitary sewage from
said premises and the disposition of
the same through the public sewer
system of said City of Saint Paul;

within ninety (90) days from the
passage of this ordinance, file a writ-
ten acceptance thereof, specifically
agreeing to all the provisions, terms
and conditions herein, and upon
compliance therewith the Commis-
sioner of Public Works is hereby
authorized to issue a permit for the
sewer extension, subject expressly to
the provisions of this ordinance and
Section 235.08 to 235.14 inclusive, of
the Saint Paul Legislative Code;
3. That the Council of the Village
of Maplewood shall, by its resolu-
tion or ordinance, assent to the
aforesaid sewer connection hereun-
der and that a certified copy of such
resolution or ordinance shall be
filed in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of Saint Paul within
ninety (90) days next after the ef-
fective date of this ordinance and
prior to the establishment of said
sewer connection.
SECTION 2
This ordinance is hereby declared
to be an emergency ordinance ren-
dered necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health and safety.
SECTION 3
This ordinance shall take effect and
be in force upon its passage, approval
and publication.
