THE COUNCIL OF THR 7 I1 .AGd OF MAPLLWOOD 13M XOMY OWAIN AS FOLUWS Section I. The following Chapter numbered 1215 of the HopLewood Code is hereby adopted to read as follows 111215. SINOWMORI.8.3. 1215.010. TgltMSt For purposes of this ordinAnce, the following definitions ars hereby set forth; ,A. " naww"ile" - a power driven, self-propelled vehicle designed to travel upon snow, ice or natural terraiu. B. "Operator" - the person who handles and operates the ontrols whitch are used to start, stop and direct the course of travel of ;a snowmobile. C. No snowmobile 4hall be unat- i tended while the motor is running or i while the &ey is in the ignition switch. 1215.060. STREET AND HIGHWAY RESTRICTIONS. No snowmobile shall be operated upon any street or highway or within the right of way thereof, ex- cept to cross such street at right angles to the centerline. No snowmobile shall cross any divided highway except at an. established intersection crossing. The Council may by resolution allow other specified types of snowmobile operation in a street or road right of way for Parades or speeially designated events. 1215.070. ADOPTION OF MINNESO- TA STATUTES BY REFERENCE. All of the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Sections 84.81 to 84.88 inclusive, are hereby adopted by reference and made Dart of this ordinance the same as though. such sections were fully set forth herein."
