AN OFOINAECE A-111ENDING CHAPTER 325 OF THE MAPLEWOOD
CODE RELATING TO LICENSING OF BUIIDING AND CONSTRUCTION
TRADES.
THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAPLEWOOD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOIJAiS:
Section 1. Section 325.010 is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following new subdivisions:
"No. 16 - Underground pipe installers.
No. 17 - Asphalt driveway installers."
Section 2. Section 325.140 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"325.140. Surd. A. SPECIAL LICENSES. The Council may, by resolution
provide for any special license, and set the fees therefor, for any work or services
pertaining to construction, re -construction, renovation or repair of buildings or
appurtenances thereto when the Council deems in its discretion that licenses provided
for in Chapter 325 of this Code do not properly pertain to the work or services to
be covered by such license.
Subd. B. SPECIAL PERIxaZ;. The Council may 'by resolution provide for any
special permits and set the fees therefor for any work or services pertaining to
construction, re -construction, renovation or repair of buildings or appurtenances
thereto or oa the premises where such structures are located when the Council deems
in its discretion that the permits provided for in Chapters 301 through 327 of this
Code do not properly pertain to the work or service to be covered by such permit.
,jubd. C. SPECIFICATIONS FOR WORK PERFORMED BY LICENSMS. The Council may
by resolution provide for standard specifications of methods and materials for all
work performed by any licensees listed in Section 325.010 if in its discretion the
Council deem such specifications to be necessary for protection of the public."
Section 3. A new section 325.141 to read as follows is hereby adopted:
11325.141. srATE LICENSED TRADES. Whenever any trade or occupation
designated in Section 325.010 becomes licensed by the State of Minnesota, or by a
3oard or Commission of the State government, and the statute providing therefor
prohibits licensing by the municipality, all persons so licensed by State authority
who do work within the Village of Maplewood shall file with the Village Clerk a copy
or other official evidence of such license. If the state licensing authority exempts
any person from being licensed under the state law, such person shall also be exempt
under this Code and he shall furnish evidence to the Clerk of such exemption. Unless
the state law prohibits or provides otherwise, all state -licensed contractors or
tradesmen shall furnish a certificate of insurance shm7ing that the licensee is insured
for public liability as required by the applicable provisions of the Maplewood Code."
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage and publication.

RELATING TO LICENSING OF BUILD-
ING AND CONSTRUCTION TRADES.
THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF MAPLEWOOD DOES HEREBY OR-
DAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 325.010 is hereby
amended by adding thereto the following
new subdivisions:

Section 2. Section 325.140 is here-
by amended to read as follows:

Section 3. Anew section 325.141 to
read as follows is hereby adopted:
"325.141. STATE LICENSED TRADES.
Whenever any trade or occupation doe-
ignated in Section 325.010 becomes li-
censed by the State of Minnesota, or
'by a Board or Commission of the State
government, and the statute providing
therefor prohibits licensing by the muni-
cipality, all persons so licensed by
State authority who do work within the
Village of Maplewood shall file with the
Village Clerk a copy or other official
evidence of such license. If the state
licensing authority exempts any person
from being licensed under the state
law, such person shall also be exempt
under this Code and he shall furnish
evidence tothe Clerk of such exemp-
tion. Unless the state law prohibits or
provides otherwise, all state -licensed con-
tractors or tradesmen shall furnish a
certificate of insurance showing that
the licensee is insured for public liabil-
ity as required by the applicable pro-
visions of the Maplewood Code."
Section 4. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after
its passage and publication.

issue has been filed with the State Historical Society, St. Paul; and that there has been on file in the
office of the County Auditor of Ramsey County, Minnesota, the affidavit of a person having knowledge
of the facts, showing the name and location of said newspaper and the existence of the conditions
constituting its qualifications as a legal newspaper.
