Section 1101.090 of the Maplewood Code is hereby amended to read as follows: • 1101.090. IMPOUNDED DOGS. Un- restrained dogs may be taken by police, the village dog warden or the Humane Society and impounded in an animal shelter, and there confined in a humane manner. Impounded dogs %hall be kept for not less than five days unless re- claimed by their owners. If by a permit, tag or by other means the owner can be identified, the Clerk shall immediately upon impoundment notify the owner by telephone c mail of the impoundment of the animal. Dogs not claimed by their owners within five days shall be hu- manely disposed of by an agency dele- gated by the Council to exercise that authority." Section 2. Section 1101.100 of the Ma- plewood Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "1101.100. IMPOUNDING FEE. Any owner reclaiming an animal which has been impounded for any reason, shall pay a fee of $3.00, plus $2.00 for each day that the animal has been kept in the dog pound.
