The attention of the Village Clerk of Maplewood, 1900 Clarence St.,
is respectfully called to the following resolution, or ordinance which has been adopted by the
City Council and approved by the Mayor.

An Ordinance amending Ordinance
No. 11061, entitled:
"An ordinance granting permission j
and authority to the Village of Maple
wood to connect the public sewer
system of said Village of Maplewood
to the public sewer system of the City
of Saint Paul and thereafter maintain
and operate the same as an outlet for
said public sewer system of said Village
for public sewage conveyance and dis-
posal purposes, and providing applic-
able terms and conditions."

This is an emergency ordinance ren-
dered necessary for the preservation of
the public peace, health and safety.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul
Does Ordain:
SECTION 1
That said Ordinance No. 11061, ap-
proved July 26, 1957, as amended, be

amended by adding the following para-
graph thereto, which shall follow the
first paragraph of Section 2:
"That in each case where property

City of Saint Paul is presently or
shall thereafter be connected to the
public sewer system of the City of
Sant Paul, which then is connected
to the public sewer system of the
Village of Maplewood, the City of
Saint Paul shall allow to the Village,
of Maplewood an annual credit of
$1.00 for each of said connections and
said credit shall be applied to the;
applicable annual charge payable by
the.Village of Maplewood to the City
of Saint Paul. Notwithstanding the
provision of Section 9 to the con-
trary, that such credit in each easel
shall be made for the preceding
yearly period and shall be applied
to the January 1 billing made by said -
City to said Village."
SECTION 2
That this amendatory ordinance shall
effbe deemed dependent for its operative
ect upon the acceptance of the same
and the concurrence therein by said
Village of Maplewood, evidenced by
an ordinance passed by its Village
Council or governing body, and the
filing of a certified copy of the same
with the City Clerk not later than i
sixty (60) days next after the officiall
publication of this amendatory ordi- I
nance.
SECTION 3
This ordnance is hereby declared to
be an emergency ordinance rendered
necessary for the preservation of the
public peace, health and safety.
SECTION 4
This ordnance shall take effect and
be in force upon its passage, approval
and publication.
