AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO STREET ADDRESSES
AND THE NLRMERING OF PROPERTIES, PUBLIC AND
PRIVATE , W I'M IN THE TOWN OF NEW CANADA
THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF NEW CANADA DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. The official numbering system for all properties
and structures located on the streets and roads within the Town of
New Canada is hereby established. The numbering system which shall
apply to all properties and buildings within the town shall be the
street numbers as assigned and designated by the county engineer of
the County of Ramsey and the said county system is hereby adopted as
the official system of the town.
Sec. 2. All owners of property within the Town of New Canada are
hereby required to obtain the proper street number on the street on
which their property is located whenever such owner shall improve the
property by erecting thereon any building, edifice or structure.
Sec. 3. All property owners, residents and occupants of build-
ings, houses or othor structures within the Town of Tiew Canada are
hereby required to place the street address number of their property
as designated by the town clerk or the county engineer of AZamsey County
upon such building on the side thereof facing the street upon which
said building, house or structure fronts. The numerals used for the
purpose of displaying the proper number shall be rade of or finished
with reflectorized material so that the said numbers will reflect any
light focused upon them during the hours of darkness.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after the date
of its publication.
Sec. 5. All persons owning, residing in or occupying any build -
Ing, house or other structure which has heretofore been constructed

shall comply with the tern -is of this ordinance and provide reflector-
ized numbers within ninety (90) days after the effective date of this
ordinance and failure to do so shall constitute a misdemeanor.
