THL TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF NEW CANI)A ORDAINS.* dEEREAS, indiscriminate, careless, and negligent setting of grass fires andlbrush fires constitutes a danger to the property and persons witYin the Town of wew Canada; and, diriEREAS, uncontrolled burning or setting of fires results in unnecessary and preventable work and fire -runs for the volunteer fire associations protecting the property within the Town, 1. a) No erson shall kindle, ignite, set or start any out- door fire/, -or any purpose whatsoever during any period which is designated by the Town Board as hazardous or dangerous. b) eeriod designated by the Town Board as hazardous or dangerous for outdoor fires during which burning is prohibited shall be designated b resolution and a copy of such resolution shall be published in the official town newspaper. c) L)uring prohibited periods, no burning shall be done with- out first obtaining from the Town Clerk a per.it and such permit shall be countersigned by the Chief of the Fire Pssociation directly responsible for fire protection within the district in which such burning is proposed. The permit shall designate the name and address of the person applying for same, the name and address of the owner of the property i I ipon which the burning is to be done, the location by street addres and legal description upon which burning is to be done, and the da e and time at which such fire shall be set. At any times other than periods during which burning is prohibited without a permit as designated in erection 1 hereof, no fires shall be started for the burning of rubbish, brush, leaves, wood, paper or other combustible material except as follows: a) Ordinary rubbish burning on residential property must be done in a burner which is so constructed as to prevent flying ashes or embers.
