INSTLLLATION OR CONNECTION OF GAS-FIRED EQUIPIENT AND APPARATUS,

FOR GAS-FIRED APPARATUS OR EQUIP:•MT UNLESS A PERMIT ILLS BEEN ISSUED
FOR THE SAME, PRESCRIBING CONDITIONS UNDER IZICH PER11ITS MAY BE
ISSUED, PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE INSTILLATION OR CONNECTION
OF GAS-FIRED EQUIPMENT AND APPARATUS IN VIOLATION OF TFE, TERMS OF
THIS ORDINANCE.
SECTION 1
No apparatus or eouipmentto be used with gas suppled from the general gas
distribution system of theNorthern States Power Company within the Town of New
Canada shall be installed or connected for use without a permit having been secured
therefor from the Township Inspector.
SECTION
No permits shall be issued by the Township inspector for the installation or
connection for use of any gas-fired apparatus or eouipment (except domestic ranges,
refrigerators, water heaters, or any gas eouipment other than space heating
enuinment, having an input rating of less than 50,000 BTU per hour supplied from
the general gas distribution system of the Northern States Power Com-oany located
within the Town of New Canada unless the application for said permit for such
installation or connection is accompanies by a certificate from said company oper-
ating such system stating that it has the facilities and capacity to serve the
eouipment or apparatus at the location designated.
SECTION 3
The Northern States Power Comr)any shall. refuse gas service to the premises
wherein any Cas -fired installation or connection is made contrary to the teras of
this ordinance, upon descovery of same, until the same has been disconnected and
removed.
SECTEON 4
Any person who shall authorize or contract for or perform work in connection
with the installation or connection of gas-fired apparatus or eouipment contrary

to the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of -a misdemeanor and
shall, upon conviction, be punished by fine of not exceeding One Hundred Dollars
($100.00), or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding ninety (90) days.
SECTION 5
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its paesage
and publication.
