ORDINANCE 864
AMENDING THE MAPLEWOOD CODE RELATING TO WATER UTILITIES
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MAPLEWOOD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Part 1. Section 40, Article III is hereby amended to read as follows:
Division 5. Water Surcharge
Section 40-477. Purpose and Intent.
The city has determined that water system improvements in the St. Paul water
service district need to be constructed that cannot be fully assessed. In order to pay for
these costs a surcharge on water charges in the St. Paul billing district is established.
Section 40-478. Rates.
A surcharge on water charges in the St. Paul billing district shall be set from time to
time by the council and shall be on file for inspection in city offices.
Section 40-478. Statements and delinquent accounts.
Statements and delinquent accounts shall be the same as that specified for sanitary
sewer charges for the St. Paul billing district in Sections 40-63 and 40-64.
Part 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force beginning January 1, 2006.
