CALL TO ORDER Vice Chairperson Ulrich called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. II. Senior Planner David Fisher. Buildinq Official III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Commissioner Tkachuck moved approval of the agenda as presented. Commissioner Moua seconded Ayes - all The motion passed. IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES None V. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None VI. NEW BUSINESS a. Presentation by Denise Beigbeder of the Ramsey County Department of Community and Economic Development Regarding Foreclosures Denise Beigbeder, of the Ramsey County Community and Economic Development Department, gave a presentation discussing how Ramsey County is dealing with home foreclosures in the county and explaining current trends. Ms. Beigbeder also answered questions previously submitted by the HRA commissioners. Ms. Beigbeder showed photos of foreclosed homes in Maplewood and the rehabilitation process done to get them back on the market and reoccupied. Commissioner Ulrich asked Ms. Beigbeder to keep the board informed on the pilot for the land trust. Housing and Redevelopment Authority -2- Minutes of 05-12-1 0 b. First Quarter 2010 Code Enforcement Report Building official Fisher presented the code enforcement report discussing violation numbers and answered questions from commissioners. VII. VISITOR PRESENTATIONS None VIII. COMMISSION PRESENTATIONS None IX. STAFF PRESENTATIONS a. Oath of Office Planner Ekstrand explained that elected or appointed officials must swear an oath of office according to state statute prior to conducting the business of the commission. The commissioners swore the oath of office and signed the appropriate paperwork. IX. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned by consensus at 8:06 p.m.
