Rent A Garden Plot This spring Maplewood is tilling soil for a community garden at Edgerton Park (2005 Edgerton Street). If you enjoy gardening and would like to rent a garden plot (12’ x 15’), don’t miss this opportunity. We have 40 garden plots available this season. The city will till the garden, stake the plots, and provide a water tank. Renters agree to plant, maintain, and harvest their plots. There is a limit of one plot per household. Rental fees are $25 for Maplewood residents and $30 for non-residents. I want to take time to say thank you to all of the people who volunteer their time to help Maplewood. The largest group of Maplewood also has a large number of citizens who volunteer their time to assist the city council and staff in the decision processes that confused by the “paid per call” title. While it is true that they do we use in Maplewood. The main groups are our commissions and receive a small amount of money for each call they participate in, boards. The Maplewood Police Reserve Unit are volunteers who make themselves available 24 hours a day year round to assist our police The Maplewood Nature Center also has many people who volunteer to help run programs and care for the Nature Center and hours to the city. The police department also has Volunteers in Maplewood’s open spaces. These people help to teach students the importance of conservation, and preservation along with wildlife and nature studies.
