Congratulations to our new City Council!
Rent A Garden Plot
This spring Maplewood is tilling soil for a community garden at
Edgerton Park (2005 Edgerton Street). If you enjoy gardening and
would like to rent a garden plot (12’ x 15’), don’t miss this opportunity.
We have 40 garden plots available this season. The city will till the
garden, stake the plots, and provide a water tank. Renters agree to
plant, maintain, and harvest their plots. There is a limit of one plot
per household. Rental fees are $25 for Maplewood residents and
$30 for non-residents.

youth traveling the countryside to play with older musicians and to
spend time absorbing not only their music but also the stories and
legends that came with them. Today, with a musical career now
spanning over forty years, Paddy has a repertoire of over 4,000

guitarist Pat Egan. Together Chulrua has over seventy years of
experience performing, educating, and sharing the tradition of
Irish music. The group has special plans for their intimate March
performance in Maplewood. In addition to providing a healthy dose
of Irish music, the artists will also talk about their instruments, share
stories about the different tunes played, and tell the legends of the
composers and musicians who have handed them down. Don’t

of the best presenters of traditional Irish music around.

New! Indoor Family Walk Time
It’s that time of year when Minnesotan’s start longing for spring. We miss being able to enjoy a warm
walk outdoors with the family. Although some Minnesotan’s like to wear their winter parkas and brave
the ice and bone-chilling temperatures some of us would prefer to get our exercise indoors.
The Maplewood Community Center is here to help! Starting February 6th you can now enjoy a walk
with your family indoors in the comfortable climate of the gymnasium every Saturday from 4:00 -
5:00PM. Even better- this is FREE for members and a small daily admission fee for non-members.
So pack up your wagons, strollers, baby carriers or walking sticks and enjoy getting out of the house
each Saturday as you walk the gym together. Invite your neighbors who you haven’t seen all winter
and catch up!
The walking track on level three is also available for anyone 12 years of age and older. For more
information, call 651.249.2230. See you there!
The Indoor Family Walk Time is not available February 27th because of the Camping & Outdoors Expo.
