A. CALL TO ORDER
A special meeting of the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota, was held at
Edgerton School and was called to order at 7:02 P.M. by Mayor Greavu.

C. PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. 7:00 P.M., Roselawn Avenue,Arcade Street to Interstate 35-E, Project 89-
03 (4 Votes)
a. Mayor Greavu convened the meeting for a public hearing regarding the
proposed improvement of Roselawn Avenue from Arcade Street to Interstate
35-E. The proposed improvement would be on a cooperative agreement with
Ramsey County.
b. Manager McGuire presented the Staff report.
c. City Attorney Hanton explained the legal procedures for the public
hearing regarding the proposed improvement.
d. Director of Public Works Haider presented the specifics of the
proposal.
e. Mayor Greavu called for proponents and opponents. The following
expressed their views:
Richard LeFebre, 500 Ripley, stated he was representing area residents and
himself.

residents opposed to proposal.

£ Mayor Greavu closed the public hearing.
g. Councilmember Anderson moved to approve the construction of Roselawn
Avenue by street, curb and gutter and storm sewer improvements necessary to street
construction.
Seconded by Mayor Greavu.
Councilmember Bastian moved to table this item until such time as Staff can
investigate specifics of costs.
Motion died for lack of a second.
Vote taken on original motion. Ayes -Mayor Greavu,
Councihnembers Anderson
and Rossbach
Nay - Councihnembers Bastian and
Juker
Motion defeated.
