A. CALL TO ORDER
A special meeting of the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota was held in the Commun-
ity Education Center, Frost Avenue and Manton Street and was called to order at 6:40
P.M. by Mayor Greavu.

C. PUBLIC HEARINGS
Mayor Greavu announced that the Public Hearings for Assessments would have to be
reheard due to the inadequacy of the time limit of the hearing notices being sent
to the residents. The date for hearing the assessments will be August 9, 1979.
New notices will be sent.
1. 1978 Diseased Shade Tree Removal, Project 78 -6 6:30 P.M.
Councilman Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota, will meet
in the Community Education Center (formerly,Gladstone School) Frost Avenue and Manton
Street at 6:30 P.M., C.D.S.T., on August 9, 1979, to hear all persons concerning the
adoption of the assessment roll for Public Improvement Project No. 78 -6, Shade Tree
Disease Control Program and to adopt the assessment roll as presented or amended. This
hearing is scheduled pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. The assessment roll
as herein described is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
All persons who wish to be heard, or to object, with reference to this matter
may present their cases at this hearing, either orally or in writing.
An owner may appeal an assessment to District Court pursuant to M.S.A. Section
429.081 by serving notice of the appeal upon the Mayor or City Clerk of the City of
Maplewood within twenty (20) days after the adoption of the assessment and by filing
such notice with the District Court within ten (10) days after service upon the Mayor
or City Clerk.
DEFEREMENT OF ASSESSMENTS: Under the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Section
435.193 to 435.195 the City may, at its discretion, defer the payment of assessments
for any homestead property owned by a person 65 years of age or older for whom it
would be a hardship to make the payments. The procedures for applying for such defer-
ment are available from the City Clerk.
Area to be assessed is within the corporate limits of the City of Maplewood.

2. Roselawn Booster Station, Project 75 -16 - 6:45 P.M.
Councilman Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota, will meet
in the Community Education Center (formerly Gladstone School), Frost Avenue at Manton
Street, at 6:45 P.M., C.D.S.T., on August 9, 1979, to hear all persons concerning
the adoption of the assessment roll for Public Improvement Porject No. 75 -16, Water
Improvements and to adopt the assessment roll as presented or amended. This hearing
is scheduled pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429. The assessment roll as herein
described is on file,in the office of the City Clerk.
Area to be assessed: That area of Maplewood bounded by Viking Drive on the North,
Edgerton on the East, Interstate 35E on the West, and Rose -
lawn Avenue on the South.
_ All persons who wish to be heard, or to object, with reference to this matter may
present their cases at this hearing, either orally or in writing.
An owner may appeal an assessment to District Court pursuant to M.S.A. Section
429.051 by serving notice of the appeal upon the Mayor or City Clerk of the City of
Maplewood within twenty (20) days after the adoption of the assessment and by filing
such notice with the District Court within ten (10) days after service upon the Mayor
or City Clerk.

Councilman Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota, will meet
in the Community Education Center (formerly Gladstone School) Frost Avenue and Manton
Street, at 7:00 P.M., C.D.S.T., on August 9, 1979, to hear all persons concerning the
adoption of the assessment roll for Public Improvement Project No. 77 -10, McKnight
Road Sanitary Sewer, Sanitary Sewer Services, Watermains, Water Services, and appurten-
ces, and to adopt the assessment roll as presented or amended. This hearing is sched-
uled pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429. The assessment roll as herein describ-
ed is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
AREA TO BE ASSESSED: These parcels on the East side of McKnight Road, between
Linwood Avenue and Highwood Avenue.

may persent their cases at this hearing, either orally or in writing.

Councilman Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota, will meet
in the Community Education Center (formerly Gladstone School), Frost Avenue and Manton
Street, at 7:15 P.M., C.D.S.T., on August 9, 1979, to hear all persons concerning
the adoption of the assessment roll for Public Improvement Project No. 78 -8, County
Road "B" Sanitary Sewer, Sewer Services, Watermains and Water Services, and to adopt
the assessment roll as presented or amended. This hearing is scheduled pursuant to
Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429. The assessment roll as herein described is on file
in the office of the City Clerk.
AREA TO BE ASSESSED: Hose parcels on the South side of County Road "B" from
German Street to Stanich Court and on Stanich Court from County Road "B" southerly
a distance of approximately 185 feet.
All persons who wish to be heard, or to object, with reference to this matter may
present their cases at this hearing, either orally or in writing.
An owner may appeal an assessment to District Court pursuant to M.S.A. Section
429.081 by serving notice of the appeal upon the Mayor or City Clerk of the City of
Maplewood within twnety (20) days after the adoption of the assessment and by filing
such notice with the District Court within ten (10) days after service upon the Mayor
or City Clerk.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota, will meet
in the Community Education Center (formerly Gladstone School) Frost Avenue and Manton
Street, at 7:30 P.M., C.D.S.T., on August 9, 1979, to hear all persons concerning the
adoption of the assessment roll for Public Improvement Porject No. 77 -1, McKnight
Road, Beam to Radatz, and to adopt the assessment roll as presented or amended. This
hearing is scheduled pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429. The assessment roll
as herein described is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
AREA TO BE ASSESSED: Thos parcels on the West side of McKnight Road, between Beam
Avenue and Radatz Avenue.
All persons who wish to be heard, or to object, with reference to this matter may
present their cases at this hearing, either orally or in writing.
An owner may appeal an assessment to District Court pursuant to M.S.A. Section
429.081 by serving notice of the appeal upon the Mayor or City Clerk of the City of
Maplewood within twenty (20) days after the adoption of the assessment and by filing
such notice with the District Court within ten (10) days after service upon the Mayor
or City Clerk.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota, will meet
in the Community Education Center (formerly Gladstone School) Frost Avenue and Manton
Street, at 7:45 P.M., C.D.S.T., on August 9, 1979, to hear all persons concerning the
adoption of the assessment roll for Public Improvement Project No. 76 -7A, Mailand
Road Booster Station, and to adopt the assessment roll as presented or amended.
This hearing is scheduled pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429. The assessment
roll as herein described is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
AREA TO BE ASSESSED: that area bounded on the North by Londin Lane; on the West
by McKnight Road; on the East by a line 1300 feet west and parallel to Century Avenue;
and on the South by a line 1150 feet North of and parallel to Linwood Avenue.
All persons who wish to be heard, or to object, with reference to this matter may
present their cases at this hearing, either orally or in writing.
An owner may appeal an assessment to District Court pursuant to M.S.A. Section
429.081 by serving notice of the appeal upon the Mayor or City Clerk of the City of
Maplewood within twenty (20) days after the adoption of the assessment and by filing
such notice with the District Court within ten (10) days after service upon the Mayor

Londin Lane Improvements - Project 71 -12 - 8:00 P.M.
Councilman Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota, will meet
in the Community Education Center (formerly Gladstone School) Frost Avenue and Manton
Street, at 8:00 P.M., C.D.S.T., on August 9, 1979, to hear all persons concerning the
adoption of the assessment roll for Public Improvement Porject No. 76 -7 Mailand Road
Improvements together with part of Public Improvement 71 -12, Londin Land Water Improve-
ment, and to adopt the assessment roll as presented or amended. This hearing is
scheduled pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429. The assessment roll as herein
described is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
AREA TO BE ASSESSED: Mailand Road from McKnight Road to a point approximately
2,635 feet East.
All persons who wish to be heard, or to object, with reference to this matter may
present their cases at this hearing, either orally or in writing.
An owner may appeal an assessment to District Court pursuant to M.S.A. Section
429.081 by serving notice of the appeal upon the Mayor or City Clerk of the City of
Maplewood within twenty (20) days after the adoption of the assessment and by filing
such notice with the District Court within ten (10) days after service upon the Mayor
or City Clerk.
