A. CALL TO ORDER
A special meeting of the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota, was held in the Council
Chambers, Municipal Building and was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Greavu.

Councilman Anderson moved to approve the Agenda as submitted.
Seconded by Councilman Wiegert. Ayes - all.
D. PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. Assessment - Project 75 -16 - Area Water Improvements 7:30 P.M.
a. Mayor Greavu convened the meeting for a public hearing regarding the adoption
of the assessment roll for Water System Area Improvement No. 75 -16. The Clerk
read the notice of hearing along with the dates of publication.
Mayor Greavu recessed the meeting at 7:33 P.M. Due to the large attendance for the
assessment hearings, the meeting was transferred to the Gladstone School, Frost and
Manton.
City employees will remain at City Hall to direct the public to the Gladstone School
and to read into record the public hearing notices.
Mayor Greavu reconvened the meeting at Gladstone School at 7:45 P.M.
1. Assessment Hearing Project 75 -16 (continued)
a. The City Clerk read the notice of hearing along with the dates of publication.
b. Director of Public Works Bittner presented the specifics of the proposed assess-
ment. The rate was calculated at $450 per acre. Property owners who have not pre-
viously been assessed for water mains, and where water mains were constructed, the
rate is $13.50 per front foot.
C. Mayor Greavu called for proponents. None were heard.
d. Mayor Greavu called for opponents. The following were heard:

for Water Improvement 75 -16 Assessments.
Seconded by Councilman Fontaine. Ayes - all.
