CALL TO ORDER A meeting of the Board of Adjustments and Appeals of Maplewood, Minnesota, was held in the Council Chambers, Municipal Building and called to order at 7:44 P.M. by Chairman Anderson. B. ROLL CALL Norman G. Anderson, Chairman Present John C. Greavu Charles M. Kent Burton A. Murdock Donald J. Wiegert C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Minutes No. 77 -14 Councilman Wiegert moved that the Minutes of Meeting No. 77 -14 be approved as submitted. Seconded by Councilman Greavu. Ayes - Chairman Anderson, Mayor Murdock, Councilmen Greavu and Wiegert. Councilman Kent abstained. D. PUBLIC HEARINGS 1. Variance - Lot Area - 2580 Stillwater Road - 7:30 P.M. a. Chairman Anderson convened the meeting for a public hearing regarding the request of Mr. Clinton Casey, 2580 Stillwater Road for a lot area variance from the Munici- pal Code requirements of 10,000 square feet., per building lot. The Clerk read the notice of hearing along with the dates of publication. b. Manager Miller presented the staff report recommending approval subject to com- pliance with all Building and Fire Codes. c. Chairman Les Axdahl presented the following Planning Commission recommendation: "Commissioner Sherburne moved the Planning Commission recommend to the Board of Adjustments and Appeals approval of the requested variance as recommended in the staff report. Commissioner Fischer seconded. Ayes - all." d. Mr. Dennis Casey, speaking on behalf of his father, agreed to the recommendations. e. Chairman Anderson called for proponents. None were heard. f. Chairman Anderson called for opponents. None were heard. - 1 - 12/8 g. Chairman Anderson closed the public hearing. h. Councilman Wiegert moved to approve the lot area variance as requested by Mr. Clinton Casey, 2580 Stillwater Road, for Lot 2, Block 1, Perkinsview Addition, based on the facts that the area variance square foot is minimal and there is no adverse effect on the neighborhood. Seconded by Councilman Greavu. Ayes - all. E. ADJOURNMENT 7:51 P.M. City Clerk - 2 - 12/8
