1. Fence Height - Variance - South of County Road B at Hazel Street 7:30 P.M.
a. Chairman Anderson convened the meeting for a public hearing concerning a re-
quest of the City for a variance from the maximum fence height for the proposed
public works facility. The Clerk read the notice of hearing along with the dates
of publication.
b. Acting Manager Blank presented the staff report and recommended approval, due to
the fact that a ten foot fence is necessary to insure the security of the area from
vandalism and because precedent was established in 1976.
It is staff's opinion that this section of the Ordinance does not make sense for
commercial or industrial uses. It is improtant that the City has adequate security
for its equipment and materials. Staff will, therefore, be recommending a change
in the fence ordinance as part of the future revision of the overall Zoning Ordin-
ance.
