CALL TO ORDER A special meeting of the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota, was held at Hazelwood School, 2696 Hazelwood Avenue and was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Bruton. B. ROLL CALL Robert T. Bruton, Mayor Present Norman G. Anderson, Councilman Present John C. Greavu, Councilman Arrived at 7:51 P.M. Burton A. Murdock, Councilman Arrived at 7:35 P.M. Donald J. Wiegert, Councilman Present C. PUBLIC HEARING 1. Water System - Improvement No. 75 -16 a. Mayor Bruton convened the meeting for a public hearing regarding construction of water system Improvement No. 75 -16. The Acting Clerk read the notice of hearing along with the dates of publication. b. Mr. James Wiley, Kirkham, Michael and Associates, presented the staff report and also presented the specifics of the improvement. C. Mayor Bruton stated this hearing is the fourth of a series of public hearings and he will not officially close the public hearing. Council will not reach a decision until the regular Council Meeting of Thursday, July 22, 1976. d. Mayor Bruton called for persons who wished to be heard. The following persons voiced their opinions: 1. Fred Pohl, 1630 E. Demont Avenue; 2. Frank Rossbach, Sr., 1586 E. County Road C; 3. Tom Connelly, 1193 E. County Road B, also representing the Sheet Metal Workers; 4. Frank R. Rossbach, 2570 Clarence; 5. George Rossbach, 1406 E. County Road C, also representing Holy Redeemer Church; 6. Kathy Martinson, E Laurie and Barclay; 7. Myrna Kane, 1512 Laurie Road; 8. Dan Harling, 1980 Price; (submitted 147 names of people who do not want this project) 9. Gerald E. Cherry, 2212 E. County Road D; 10. Joan Kaufmann, no address given; 11. Don Watson, 895 E. County Road C, 12. Richard Spiegelberg, 2069 E. Radatz; 13. Patrick W. O'Brien, 2759 Hazelwood; 14. Pat Hensley, 1927 Flandrau; 15. Fred Kreitz, 2242 Craig Place; 16. Jim Bothwell, 1704 Flandrau; 17. Mr. Kline, 1741 E. Larpenteur; - 1 - 7/20 18. Philip Oswald, 2026 N. Hazelwood; 19. Mayor Bruton recessed the meeting and stated that the discussion by Council will be held at the next regular Council Meeting on Thursday, July 22, 1976, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 1380 Frost Avenue.
