CALL TO ORDER A special meeting of the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota, was held at Gladstone School, Frost and Manton Avenues and was called to order at 7:37 P.M. by Mayor Bruton. B. ROLL CALL Robert T. Bruton, Mayor Present Norman G. Anderson, Councilman Present John C. Greavu, Councilman Arrived at 7:52 P.M. Burton A. Murdock, Councilman Absent Donald J. Wiegert, Councilman Present C. PUBLIC HEARINGS 1. Water System - Improvement No. 75 -16 a. Mayor Bruton convened the meeting for a public hearing regarding construction of the proposed Water System Improvement No. 75 -16. The Clerk read the notice of hearing along with the dates of publication. Mayor Bruton stated this was the second in a series of four public hearings. A decision will not be made at to- night's hearing, but after all hearings are held. b. Mr. James Wiley, Kirkham, Michael and Associates, Consulting Engineers, presented the staff report and the specifics of the proposed improvement. c. Mayor Bruton explained why the improvement is necessary and backgrounded pre- vious actions and discussions regarding this matter. d. Mayor Bruton called for persons who wished to be heard for or against the proposal. The following persons presented their views: 1. Mr. Rueben Ristrom, 1633 Lark Avenue; 2. Mrs. Jean Kauffman, 1445 Sherren Avenue; 3. Ms. Pat Hensley, 1929 Flandrau Street; 4. Mr. Walter Siedou, 1772 Flandrau Street; 5. Mr. Albert Kennedy, 1604 Frost Avenue; 6. Mr. Robert Murnane, 1785 Flandrau Street; 7. Mr. LeRoy Bjornberg, 1719 Flandrau Street; 8. Mr. W. C. Shopbell, 1897 Birmingham Street; 9. Mr. Bob Appert,'1923 Flandrau Street; 10. Mr. Jim Tansey, 1684 Frost Avenue; 11. Mr. John Poeschl, 1844 Kennard Street; 12. Mr. Bill Wald, 1895 Flandrau Street; 13. Mr. Bob Denison, 1748 Flandrau Street; 14. Mrs. Joan Kennedy, 1604 Frost Avenue; 15. Mr. Jim Sneeley, 1715 E. Larpenteur Avenue; 16. Mr. Patrick Vincelli, 1889 Birmingham; 17. Mr. Philip Rivard, 1714 Flandrau Street; 18. Mr. Kenneth Ryan, Sr., 1926 Flandrau Street; 19. Mr. Jerry George, 2173 English. - 1 - 7/13 e.
