D. PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. Front Yard Variance - 1720 East Shore Drive 7:30 P.M.
a. Chairman Murdock convened the meeting for a public hearing on a request of
Mr. Terry L. Winning, 1720 East Shore Drive for a set back variance to construct
his garage five feet from the street. The Clerk read the notice of hearing along
with the dates of publication.
b. Manager Miller presented the staff report and stated it is recommended the
proposed setback variance be approved due to the following findings:
1. The setback requirements if strictly enforced would not allow the
applicant to construct a garage;
2. There is a particular hardship due to the slope and configuration of
of the property;
3. There is no potential for the purchase of additonal land;
4. The variance would not injure neighboring properties and would be the
last of such variance requests in the area.
