A. CALL TO ORDER
A special meeting of the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota was held at the Maple-
wood Heritage Center and was called to order at 7:49 P.M. by Mayor Bruton.

C. CANVASS OF ELECTION
1. Paramedic Referandum
a. Councilman Wiegert introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
76 -6 -100
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MAPLEWOOD, MINNESOTA,
Ramsey County, that it is hereby found, determined and declared that the Special
Election held in said City on June 1, 1976 was in all respects duly and legally
called and held, and the returns thereof have been duly canvassed and the votes
cast on said Special Election ballot for and against the following question were
as follows:
We, the Voters of the City of Maplewood, do hereby approve Chapter 151
Minnesota Session Laws 1976 which authorizes the City of Maplewood, without
penalty, to collect taxes payable in 1976 in the sum. of $189,000.00 in
excess of the tax levy limitation, and to provide a levy limit base adjust-
ment for levy year 1976 and subsequent levy years, for the purpose of financ-
ing the Paramedic Program.
