A. CALL TO ORDER
A meeting of the Board of Adjustments and Appeals of Maplewood, Minnesota was held
in the Council Chambers, Municipal Building and was called to order at 8:19 P.M.,
by Chairman Murdock.

C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Councilman Wiegert moved that the minutes of Meeting No. 74-5 (July 25 1974) be
approved as submitted.
Seconded by Councilman Greavu,
D. PUBLIC HEARINGS
Ayes - all.
1. Southwest corner of Standridge Avenue and Bartelmy Lane (Sideyard variance) 8:15 P.M.
a. Chairman Murdock convened the meeting for a public hearing regarding the
request of Tilsen Homes, Inc., to allow continuation of a dwelling with a side -
yard setback of 4 feet 2 1/2 inches rather than the required five feet. The
Clerk read the notice of hearing along with the dates of publication.
b. Manager Miller presented the staff report and stated the variance requested
is minor in nature and would not seem to justify removal of the building in order
to obtain compliance. It is recommended that the variance be granted subject to
the following conditions:
1. The owner of lot #2 shall agree to maintain a 6 foot sideyard
setback along his northerly property line.
2. The owner and developer shall agree to the above conditions.
c. Commissioner Duane Prew presented the following Planning Commission re-
commendation:
"Commissioner Barrett moved that the Planning Commission recommend to
the City Council approval of the variance based on the conditions in
the Manager "s report.
Commissioner Waldron seconded. Voting on the motion. - Ayes all."
d, Chairman Murdock called for proponents.

TABULATION OF BIDS
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special
meeting of the officials
designated for a bid opening by the
City Council of Maplewood was convened at
9:30 A.M., C. D. S. T., Thursday, August
29, 1974.
The purpose of this meeting
was to receive, open and publicly read
aloud bids
for the construction of
Gervais Avenue, Brookview Drive, and
Knucklehead.Lake Outlet Storm Sewers,
Projects 73 -10, 73 -14, and 74 -2.
Present were B. D. Collier and W. C.
Cass of the City of Maplew000d and John
Dickson of Barr Engineering Company.
Following the reading of the notice
of advertisement
