CALL TO ORDER A special meeting of the Village Council of Maplewood, Minnesota was held in the Council Chambers, Municipal Building and was called to order at 4:49 P.M. by Mayor Axdahl. B. ROLL CALL Lester G. Axdahl, Mayor Present John C. Greavu, Councilman, Absent Harald L. Haugan, Councilman Present Patricia L. Olson, Councilwoman Present Donald J. Wiegert, Councilman Present C. COUNCIL BUSINESS Tilsen Plat No. 7 a. Mayor Axdahl stated the special meeting had been called to consider the stipulation on the plat of Tilsen's Maplewood Heights No. 7 that Mr. Carl Buetow's property at 2287 Beam Avenue be included in the plat. Mr. Buetow wishes this stipulation waived. b. Councilman Wiegert moved to suspend the rules and reconsider the Tilsen Plat No. 7. Seconded by Councilwoman Olson. Ayes - all, c,: The Council had previously approved the Preliminary Plat of Tilsen's Maplewood Heights No. 7 with conditions, and one of the conditions was that Mr. Buetow's property be a part of the plat. d. Mr. Mary Bullick, representing Tilsen Company stated Mr. Buetow does not wish to be a part of a plat and will not finalize the selling of the rest of rims property with this condition existing. e. Mr. Buetow spoke on behalf of his request. He also requested that the condition that 7 feet of his property be deeded for ex- pansion of Beam Avenue be dropped. Council stated they could not act on his requests regarding the 7 feet along Beam Avenue without further investigation. 12 -21 f." Councilman Wiegert introduced the following resolution excluding Mr. Buetows property from the Tilsen Plat No. 7 _i and moved its adoption:. 70 - 12 - 196 WHEREAS, a special Council meeting was held on December 21, 1970, at the Village Hall in Maplewood for the purpose of considering the proposed plat of Robert Tilsen's Maplewood Heights number (7) Seven, and Mr. Carl H. Buetow appeared with a representative of Robert Tilsen. WHEREAS, the Council was advised that Mr. Buetow would not accept the conditions previously placed upon said proposed plat, and whereas Tilsen would not exercise his option to buy the land without some assurance of his ability to plat the land, the Council passed the following resolution, to wit; BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAPLEWOOD', being advised of the circumstances and that it is :. Robert Tilsen's intention to exercise said option, hereby agrees to permit an amendment to the proposed plat of "Robert Tilsen's Maplewood Heights number (7) Seven as shown in the drawing by Harry S. Johnson, dated September 15, 1970, by permitting the exclusion therefrom of the Carl Buetow homesite shown thereon as Lot 17, Block 1, Seconded by Councilwoman Olson. Ayes - all. 2, Maplewood Liquors } a. The Council received a memorandum from Police Chief Schaller requesting. the Council to-set a hearing date regarding the suspension of the Maplewood Liquors Off -Sal.e Liquor License. The owners had been convicted of selling to a minor. b. Councilman Wiegert moved to suspend the rules and to consider the suspension of the Off -Sale Liquor License of Maplewood Liquor T347 Frost Avenue. Seconded by Councilwoman Olson. Ayes - all. c. Councilman Wiegert moved to set January 7, 1971 as the hearin date regarding the suspension of the Maplewood Liquors Off -Sale Liquor License. Seconded by Councilwoman Olson. Ayes - all. D.
