ROLL CALL Robert Cardinal, Mayor Sherry Allenspach, Councilmember Kenneth V. Collins, Councilmember Marvin C. Koppen, Councilmember Julie A. Wasiluk, Councilmember Others Present: C. D. Attorney Kathleen Louks City Clerk Karen Guilfoile City Manager Richard Fursman Assistant City Manger Melinda Coleman APPROVAL OF AGENDA Present Present Present Present Present Councilmember Wasiluk moved to approve the agenda as submitted. NEW BUSINESS Councilmember Allenspach moved to go into a closed session. Councilmember Koppen seconded Ayes -All 1. Arbitration Update -McGuire Julie Fleming-Wolfe presented council with the specifics of the arbitration and settlement proposal If settlement is not reached, Fleming-Wolfe informed council of how the trial will proceed. Fleming-Wolfe requested authority to settle and draft a settlement agreement that will be brought back to the city council for final approval. Councilmember Collins moved to authorize Fleming-Wolfe to negotiate a settlement per their direction and to work on changing and clarifying language in Mr. McGuire's departing contract. Councilmember Wasiluk seconded Ayes-Councilmembers Allenspach, Koppen, Collins, and Wasiluk Nays-Mayor Cardinal Councilmember Koppen moved to reconvene the meeting. Councilmember Allenspach seconded Ayes-All 2. Proposed Purchase Agreement -Van Dyke Street Property Assistant City Manger Coleman provided specifics of the proposed purchase agreement by Bruce Mogren for the VanDyke Street property. Mr. Bruce Mogren explained the project and addressed suggestion to the council. City Attorney Louks spoke regarding the purchase agreement. E. FUTURE TOPICS 1. Reviewing the Community Center Catering Contract and Marketing Strategies 2. Exploring the Possibilities of a Sister City E. ADJOURNMENT With their being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:59.
