The Police Department has completed backgrounding on the top 4 candidates on the eligibility list. The backgrounds have been labeled randomly, A through D, for anonymity. Police Chief Schnell is requesting that the Commission review the attached completed background investigations on these four candidates and certify the candidates. Upon certification, the next step is to make conditional offers to the top two candidates, with approval of the City Manager. The candidates must also complete and pass the pre- employment physical, physical agility and the psychological exams before be hired. The start date for the two candidates is scheduled for June 5, 2017. Their schooling will begin June 12, 2017 and run 16 weeks.
