Call to Order 2. Roll Call Commissioners: Lisa Liddell, Chair, present Debra Birkholz, Secretary, present Jim Meehan, present Others Present: Terrie Rameaux, Staff Liaison David Thomalla, Police Chief Alan Kantrud, City Attorney 3. Approval of Agenda Commissioner Birkholz motioned to approve the agenda. Commissioner Meehan seconded the motion. Ayes - All 4. Approval of Minutes a. May 4, 2011 Commissioner Meehan motioned to approve the May 4, 2011 meeting minutes with no changes. Commissioner Birkholz seconded the motion. Ayes - All 5. New Business a. Accept exam results for police officer process and establish eligibility list Ms. Rameaux went over the report and reviewed the applicant process. Commissioner Birkholz motioned to accept the exam results for the police officer process and establish an eligibility list. Commissioner Meehan seconded the motion. Ayes - All b. Certify candidates on eligibility list for police officer Commissioner Birkholz motioned to certify candidates on the eligibility list for police officer. Commissioner Meehan seconded the motion. Ayes - All 6. Commission Presentations 7. Staff Presentations Chief Thomalla announced the promotion of Gerald “Buddy” Martin to sergeant and Brian Bierdeman as acting sergeant effective June 10, 2011. Ms. Rameaux stated that the candidates were sent letters the previous week notifying them of their score and ranking on the eligibility list. Background packets were sent to the top 15 candidates. Chief Thomalla stated the department will continue to do background investigations on candidates until there are 4 successful candidates. At that point the commission will be called to a meeting to certify those background investigations. 8. Adjourn The meeting adjourned at 8:11am.
