I would like to thank you for allowing the public to listen to and have a voice regarding the
routing of the Purple Line, through the Advisory Council meetings. My hope is that the Advisory
Council's decision is to bring more transportation to Maplewood, without using the Bruce Vento
trail. When Chuck Wiger was over at our house and walking the trail with us he said the
following, "Bruce would be rolling over in his grave if they knew what they were going to allow
to happen to this trail. This was his legacy." Please consider the legacy you and your council
will leave. Why not be the council that saved one of Minnesota's top 10 trails instead of being
the council that allowed it to be destroyed. I'd be happy to walk the trail with you anytime, too.
I received the following from a Century College staff member. I am sure that you probably
aware of the following but as the Met Council has not been completely forthcoming with their
information, I thought I would share with you.
