ROLL CALL Commissioners Craig Brannon, Commissioner Absent Vickie Lee-Her, Commissioner Present Monica Barton, Commissioner Absent Terri Mallet, Chair Present Mark Harris, Commissioner Present Kimii Porter, Commissioner Absent Jason DeMoe, Commissioner Present Staff Audra Robbins, Parks and Recreation Manager Present C.APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA Commissioner Harris made a motion to approve the agenda. Seconded by Commissioner Lee-Her.Ayes – All The motion passed. D.APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. September 21, 2022 Commissioner Lee-Her made a motion to approve the September 21, 2022 Parks and Recreation Commission minutes. Seconded by Commissioner Harris Ayes – All The motion passed. E. NEW BUSINESS 1.Swearing in of New Commission Member Audra Robbins, Parks and Recreation Manager, swore in and introduced the new member: Jason DeMoe D1 Wednesday, October 19, 2022 Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes   2. Ellen Paulseth – 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan Ellen Paulseth, Finance Director, gave a presentation on the Capital Improvement Plan for the City and how that works with/impacts the Parks and Natural Resources Department. Commission asked of staff regarding the plan. F. UNFINISHED BUSINESS G. VISITOR PRESENTATIONS H. COMMISSION PRESENTATIONS I. STAFF PRESENTATIONS 1. Eagle Scout Project Update Audra Robbins, Parks and Recreation Manager, updated the commission on the progress of the bird feeder Eagle Scout project. 2. Trunk or Treat Audra gave another update on the event taking place at City Hall on Saturday 10/29 and told them we will be having a department vehicle decorated. 3. Goat Update Audra discussed the goats at City Hall for the second portion of the invasive species management with goats. 4. Campus Reseeding Update on another reseeding at City Hall for the campus pollinator project. 5. Pop Up Skills Bike Update Gave a brief update on the pop up bike skills course at 4 Seasons. Provided feedback from the event to the council and answered commission questions. 6. EAB Class Informed the commission of the upcoming EAB class taking place on Saturday November 12. 7. 4H School Out Classes Audra discussed the 4H school out classes at the Nature Center again with the commission. Noted that 4H had their own scholarships available for those in need. J. ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Harris made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Commissioner Lee-her Ayes – All The motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
