A. CALL TO ORDER
A meeting of the Heritage Preservation Commission was held in the City Hall Council
Chambers called to order by Chair Boulay at 7:00 p.m.

C. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
Commissioner Axtman made a motion to approve the amended agenda.
Seconded by Vice Chair Currie Ayes – All
The motion passed.
D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. May 10, 2018, HPC Meeting Minutes
Commissioner Cardinal made a motion to approve the minutes from the May
10, 2018, HPC Meeting.
Seconded by Vice Chair Currie Ayes – Axtman, Cardinal,
Currie, Fett, Gaspar,
Gilbertson
Abstain – Boulay
The motion passed.

E. NEW BUSINESS
1. Oath of Office for Boulay
Natural Resources Coordinator, Ginny Gaynor, swore in Chair Boulay for an
additional term on the Heritage Preservation Commission.
2. Election of Chair and Vice Chair
Vice Chair Currie made a motion to accept the nomination of Pete Boulay for Chair.
Seconded by Commissioner Gilbertson Ayes – All
The motion passed.
Commissioner Gaspar made a motion to accept the nomination of Richard Currie for
Chair.
Seconded by Commissioner Gilbertson Ayes – All
The motion passed.
F. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Local Designation for Ramsey County Cemetery
Vice Chair Currie made a motion to move the application forward with the
suggestions that were discussed.
Seconded by Chair Boulay Ayes – All
The motion passed.
G. VISITOR PRESENTATIONS
1. MAHS
Bob Jensen, President of the Maplewood Area Historical Society, updated the
commission on upcoming events at the Bruentrup Farm.
H. COMMISSION PRESENTATIONS
1. Rush Line BRT Stations
Commissioner Axtman updated the commission on the status of the Rush Line
BRT Stations since attending his first committee meeting.

Natural Resources Coordinator, Ginny Gaynor, led a discussion on the progress
of the history videos.
3. Open Meeting Laws
Vice Chair Currie discussed open meeting laws with the commission.
I. STAFF PRESENTATIONS
1. View Video Clips from Jackson Street Roundhouse
Natural Resources Coordinator, Ginny Gaynor, shared two history video clips
with the commission.
J. ADJOURNMENT
Vice Chair Currie made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Seconded by Commissioner Axtman Ayes – All
The motion passed.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:11 PM.
