ORDINANCE 953
AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE REGULATING LIQUOR SERVED AT THE
MAPLEWOOD COMMUNITY CENTER
Sections 6-316 through 6-318 of the Maplewood City Code are repealed in their entirety
and replaced with the following section 6-316:
Sec.6-316–Saleofwine,3.2percent maltliquorandintoxicatingliquor.
TheCitymayauthorizetheholderofanonsalewine,3.2percentmaltliquor, or
intoxicating liquorlicenseissuedbytheCityofMaplewoodor amunicipality
adjacenttotheCityofMaplewoodandwill allowthelicenseetodispensewine
notexceeding14percentalcoholby volume,3.2percentmaltliquor,or
intoxicatingliquoratanyconvention,banquet, conference,meetingof socialaffair
conductedonthepremisesoftheMaplewoodCommunityCenter.
Thesaleofwinenotexceeding14percent byvolume, 3.2percent maltliquor, and
intoxicatingliquor maybeservedintheMaplewoodCommunityCenter under the
followingconditions:
(1)Thelicenseeisengagedtodispensewine,3.2percentmaltliquorand
intoxicatingliquor ataneventbyapersonororganizationpermittedto
usethedesignatedroomofthe MaplewoodCommunityCenter.
(2)Wine,3.2percentmaltliquor andintoxicatingliquor isdispensed
onlytopersons attendingtheevent inthedesignatedroomfor which
theroomwasrentedandsuch dispensingisdoneonlyintheroom
whichwasrented.
(3)Thelicenseeshall servewine,3.2percentmaltliquor andintoxicating
liquor according tothischapter andothercityordinances.
(4)Thelicenseedeliverstothecityacertificateofinsuranceprovidingoff-
premisesliquor liabilitycoveragenamingthecity,intheamountof
statutorylimits,asanadditional namedinsured.
(5) All partiesconsumingwine,3.2percentmaltliquor andintoxicating
liquorintheMaplewoodCommunityCenter shall berequiredtoconform
tostateliquor lawsandallrulesandregulationsregulatingtheserving
or consumptionofwine,3.2percentmaltliquororintoxicatingliquoras
establishedbythecity.
(6)Wine, 3.2percentmaltliquor andintoxicatingliquor mayonlybe
serveduntil 12:00midnight onall evenings, Sunday—Saturday.
(7)Licenseesseekingauthorizationtodispensewine,3.2percent maltliquor,
or intoxicating liquorintheMaplewoodCommunityCentershall applyto
thecityclerkforaper event permit onaformprescribedbytheCity.
(8)Wheneveritisdeterminedthataspecificevent for whichthelicensee
will beproviding on-salewine,3.2percentmaltliquor,orintoxicating
liquor requiresspecialor unique conditions, theCityCouncilmay
imposesuchadditionalconditions. Compliancewiththeseadditional
conditionsshall bearequirementofthepermit.
The Maplewood City Council approved this ordinance on September 28, 2015.
