Re : Human Rights Day
The morning St . Paul Paper (January 17, 1991 ) contained a
article on a man who produced a short slide show entitled "Ask
yourself, what can I do?"
The show is about the life and work of Dr . Martin Luther
King.
I would like to propose to the Maplewood Humarili7,lights
Commission that the City sponsors a program at City Hal-"laTbr at
one of our local schools focusing on the message of Dr ?r' ing--
people working for people-sometime in 1991 .
I envision it to be an annual human rights programs-which
could be held around Dr . King ' s birthday or at some other -time
of the year .
I would like to have the Human Rights Commission discuss' the
concept and indicate if they would like to cooperate in pl=anking
and offering this program.
