Set forth in statutory language the violation of Minnesota Statutes Section 363.03 and a brief statement setting forth the discriminatory act. I am a American Indian (Chippewa) female who was employed by the above- named Respondent from November 21, 1988 to February 6, 1989 as a floater- Janitor. I was hired with the understanding I would work into a supervisor position. During December, 1988 Timothy Cook; Area Manager, learred from a co-worker that I am American Indian. After this. Mr, Cook started giving,me bad jobs and commenting derogatorily about my heritage. He also, sworeat mea lot and sent me alone to clean in isolated areas. At the end of • January, 1989, I was put in as a supervisor of the Maplewood Professional Building. My wage was cut to $6.00 per hour. I objected and it was increased to $6.25 per hour. On February 6, 1989, after I inquired, I was told that I was no longer working for the Respondent but rather for someone else. I believe my race and sex were factors in Respondent's actions for the following reasons: 1) Mr. Cook commented he didn't like Indians, 2) After tMr. Cook learned of my race he said that was the reason my resume was never show: to him; 3) Company policy states that employees are not to be assigned alone to work in isolated areas; 4) A male supervisor who left Respondent in January, 1989, made $7.00 per hour. C I, therefore, allege that the Respondent has discriminated against me in the area of employment on the bases of race and sex in violation of Minnesota Statutes 363.03 Subd. 1(2)(b)(c)..
