We are pleased that Ron is feeling much better. Asked Chair to
write him a letter encouraging attendance at commission meetings .
We need to know where he stands .
Annual Report
Discussion of items to be included , additions and editing.
No Fault Grievance Charges
Williamson: Unsuccessful in reaching grievant ; will write her a
letter and ask for her response. Time is running out.
Larsen: Received new charge . Lynch and Larsen assigned. Charge :
religion in employment.
NFG Training
League of HR Commissions critiquing NFG training and the trainer .
John Greco , NFG liaison to the local commissions put on a special
demo for the League board members . A fiasco . However , we will
wait for the formal critique and response from the State before
we attempt to push for further NFG training.
City Hall Accessibility Study
Concerned because the study consists of "options" rather than
requirements . Mary may be able to keep us informed. Federal
rather than State funding would obligate city. Funds have been
going directly to the departments rather than to the "City" .
Chair requested to write Jim Haynes a letter of appreciation with
regrets on his resignation.
Annual Dues Statement for League of MN HR Commissions received.
Cover dues from July 84 to June of 85 -- $87 . 75 -- motion to
approve for payment . Approved:
Letter has been written to the Council asking for reappointment
for Rostron and the filling of two vacancies . We have asked
for the courtesy of sitting in on applicant interviews .

League of MN HR Commission Board Meeting = December
Had good turn out for Human Rights Day December 10th; however ,
audience was mostly resource people from agencies that are
HR related; very few local commissioners .
A motion was passed to effect change in by-law; would provide
that a local commissioner could retain seat on League board
to end of League year even though he/she is no longer a member
of a human rights commission (for whatever reason -- a move ,
expiration of term, etc. )
Annual Meeting. To be held June 22 , 1985 . St . Cloud. 8 : 30A
to 6 : 00P. Banquet from 4 :30 to 6 .
Cost of League Newsletter: $49 . 00 per printing. $154 per
mailing (39 per booklet) . League budget , $1 ,000 .
Next meeting Tuesday, February 12th. The first Tuesday was not
convenient for some of our members . Please change your calendars .
