Enclosed is information on the annual meeting this year. We only have enough money
in the budget for one Commission member to attend. Please review the information
and be prepared to discuss at the September 3 meeting.

I want to remind you and your Commission members of our
forthcoming Annual Meeting, scheduled for Saturday. September 27 ,
1997 at the Eden Prairie Community Center. e enc ose• yer wi
give you 'some iidea as to the exciting programming scope. We
believe it should be of special interest to your Commission Board

Although registration • • des lunch and - • -lpful
informational packet) is 45, if made before Se•tember 15, this
year there is a special registration fee o1 only $35 for those
Commissions that have four or more members or city staff personnel
present and register before September 15. So please, take
advantage of this incentive to have maximum representation at our
Annual Meeting.
In conjunction with our Annual Meeting, we customarily present
our Annual Human Rights Award to individuals, organizations or
agencies that warrant special recoynitiwi fut advancing Human
Rights in our state. Please, let us have your recommendation on
the enclosed form if you have someone who warrants this
distinction.
Thank you for your cooperation on the above matters. We
certainly look forward to seeing you and your commissioners on
September 27 in Eden Prairie.
Hope that you all have been enjoying a pleasant summer.
