‘Solar Power Hour’ coming to Maplewood
On July 12, Maplewood residents will have the opportunity to learn about solar energy for their home or
business with a Solar Power Hour — a free, one-hour informational session about solar energy.
Topics will include solar for your home, community solar and solar for businesses. The presentation will
address the basics of solar, how solar can reduce your electric bill, available incentives and how to go
about selecting the right installer. Representatives from the Midwest Renewable Energy Association and
the Center for Energy and Environment will be present to answer questions about solar energy options,
energy efficiency and solar financing.
New this year, the presentation will feature information about community solar options, as well as recent
changes to solar incentives available in Minnesota. The Maplewood Solar Power Hour will begin at 7 p.m.
at the Maplewood Community Center, 2100 White Bear Ave, in Banquet Room D.
