Paul ' s Priory Attending: Rostron, Williamson , Eiden , Sister Claire Lynch , Larsen Minutes of November 13 , 1984 approved with the correction of meeting date to the 13th. Letter of resignation has been received from Jim Haynes . Accepted with regret . We wish to publicly record our thanks for his dedi- cated efforts over the years . Accessibility Study: Scott will call Randy Johnson to see what the status of the accessibility study is . We must ensure that the proper follow through is made so that positive action will be taken on the construction of a new City Hall ; must be accessible to all . Human Rights Observances : Item inserted in Maplewood Review 11/21 and "Focus" 12/3 . Requested that copy of same be sent to State Depart- ment and to the League of HR Commissions . Posters have been placedin most public buildings within the City. Williamson MHRC will coordinate and host a training session for NFGP . Invite commissions from District 7 . Greco said special training session could be established. Training sessions will also be held in the spring for new commissioners . NFGP : We were wondering about lack of referrals . Since we receive copies of cases which are retained at State level , it would appear there are few cases originating in Maplewood. NFGP : A new NFG case has been lodged with us . Pat and Scott will be the officers . Racial discrimination is charged. Annual Report : Send Annual Report items to Pat for coordination. Larsen to back track in records to see how many NFG cases were pursued and cull through minutes for special activities . Letter of Reappointment : For Scott Rostron. Also mention that we have two vacancies that we would like to fill . Mention Hayes resignation. Are there any applicants in the wings? Next Falls issue of the "Maplewood In Motion" should carry Human Rights Observance information. HRA: Needs assessment in "share a home" . City Council very interested. Mary said she had very little information. Scott asked Mary to monitor for protected classes . 2-MHRC Meeting 12/4/84 League of MN HR Commissions St . Cloud November meeting. Showing of sexual harrassment film, "Work Place Hustle" . League collecting names of films that are appropriate or interesting; resource . League : November 17th NFG training workshop (basically a critique of the Department by board members) was disjointed and unsatisfactory. Greco seems to be a one man show. Much more satisfactory and informative as it has been put on before . We will see what can be done about it . League is looking for volunteer lobbyists through our local commissions . In HR legislation they are considering the use of the term, "domestic partnership" rather than "sexual preference" to see if it would expedite the legislation. Seems to be less hackle raising. Next meeting January 8 , 1985 . Public Works Building. 7 :30P Meeting adjourned. Maria Larsen, Secretary
