seconded and approved.
2. Letter to Maplewood Businesses
Scott asked for a report from each member on the calls they made to
the businesses they called as a followup to the letter explaining
the Commission and its role.
Most employers were pleasant, were not familiar with the Commission
and some asked for additional information.
The program was a success. The purpose was to gain visibility
about the Commission.
Pat Williamson will let the League know we sent the letter and our
responses and will also include it in our 1988 Biennial Report.
3. Biennial Report
Mike McGuire mailed Pat a copy of the ordinance establishing the
Commission to include it in the Biennial Report. Our By-laws need
to be amended.
Included in our report will be the membership; MLK Day activities,
Human Rights Day activities, No Fault training, League of MN activities,
and liaison with Housing and Redevelopment Authority.
Pat will rewrite the Report and submit it to City. Should be submitted
