MINUTES

The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m. by I'laria Larson, Chairperson. The
minutes of the last regular meeting were approved as written.
The following items were dicussed:

Maria reported on the action taken by the HRC in response to a com-
plaint passed on by the State Dept. of Human Rights. She suggested

A one-day workshop is being sponsored by the State Dept. of Human.Rights
and the League of liomen Voters on "sexism in Athletics" to be held
October 17th in the l'leyerhauser Room of the l4innesota Historical Society.
Eric suggested that representatives of the llaplewood Athletic Association

In the area of new business, Linda announced that she is moving to l4ap1e
Grove and will not be able to continue on the Commission.
Maria described a case of possible discrimination that has come to her
attention and asked for opinions on dealing with it. Jirn suggested that
contact with Legal Assistance vrould be the best course of action.
The next meeting is tentatively set for Decentber 5' 1978.
