reconsidering
decisions
The Maplewood City Cos nc ,
has to stop reconsidering
de-
cisions, Mayor Robert Bruton
said last week.
IF THE COUNCIL keeps re-
opening debates on which it has
already voted, he said, "We're
Maplewood
riot going to have two meetings
a week. We're going to have
seven, eight or nine meetings a
week."
BRUTON CAST the dissent-
ing vote when the council decid-
ed to change plans for Radatz
Avenue east of White evously
Br r Ave-
nue. Residents there p
had requested a one-way
estreet,r ,
then several weeks agoq eet
ed a two-way street.
He also expressed irritation at
having to discuss a building
proposal by Condor Corp. for
the fourth time. The council has
approved a sign and landscap-
ing plan for a warehouse, sub-
ject to conditions to which Con-
dor is objecting.
By reconsidering the street
plan, Bruton said, Maplewood is
setting a"bad precedent."
Councilman Burton Murdock,
however, said the residents have
a problem.
"I'll listen to them all night
long,"he said.
