robbery of credit union

The Maplewood Police Department and the Minneapolis office of the FBI are investigating an armed
bank robbery that occurred at Unity One Credit Union, 1535 Beam Ave.
Around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, Maplewood police officers were called to the Unity One Credit
Union after a man entered the credit union and demanded that a teller hand over all the money in the
teller drawer.
He was wearing a dark-colored overcoat, purple dress shirt, dark pants and dark colored sunglasses, and
had a silver handgun, which he held under his arm.
The man fled the bank in a blue Honda Ridgeline, which was found abandoned in the parking lot of a
nearby retailer. Detectives determined that the getaway vehicle was stolen from a local car dealership.
Maplewood police detectives are attempting to determine the identity of the suspect.
Anyone with information as to the identity and/or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call 911 or

Suspect description...
The armed robber was a:
• White male
• 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-11 in height
• 145 to 175 pounds
• 35 to 45 years old
• Raised skin-colored mole on left cheek (nearly dime-sized)
