Sewer
Project
Proposed
- Continued from Page 1
THE PER CAPITA
utilization of water and
the corresponding vol-
ume of wastewater gen-
erated by Maplewood
residents and firms
should be minimized by
the maintenance of ap-
propriate and per s u-
asive rates for both wa-
ter and wastewater ser-
vice.
MINIMIZE INFIL-
TRATION,
NFII-
TRATION, especially
when detailed investiga-
tion indicates high rates
in certain areas.
The TKDA consultants
also cited theimpor-
tance of replacing the
present interceptor sew-
er along Hwy.61.
It's currently operat-
ing at or near design ca-
pacity.they pointed out.
The Sewer Board al-
ready has plans under
way for the new inter-
ceptor sewer. but no
construction date.
The new interceptor.
h a sed on preliminary
plans. would cut along
the east shore of Lake
Phalen and adjacent to
Hwy. 61. from Keller
golf course to County
Road D. as a gravity line
rather than a pressure
main.
