Five candidates will be on the ballot in the Nov. 8 special election for St. Paul school
DFL Party delegates last week iu,iioiuriili!ii,iiat:.e Je&i,iielllllle III... st&r, who manages Head Start
family services for Community Action Partnership of Ramsey and Washington counties.
The other four candidates who filed before the Tuesday deadline did not seek the DFL's
endorsement. They are:
• Cindy Kerr, who works for a software company
• Tony Klehr, who teaches for Stillwater Public Schools
• Greg Copeland, former Maplewood city manager and former city Republican Party
official
• Eduardo Barrera, economic vitality division director for the Latino nonprofit CLUES
The winner will serve out the final 14 months of Jean O'Connell's term. She resigned in
June
Four other would-be candidates who attended the DFL convention Saturday dropped out
after failing to win the endorsement.
